• Academic details: target exam, class level, school or board, and any scores or preferences you share with counsellors.
• Usage data: videos watched, tests taken, test scores, assignment submissions, and study progress.
• Payment information: billing details and transaction history. We do not store full card numbers or UPI PINs; these are handled by our payment partners.
• Device and log data: IP address, browser type, device identifiers, and pages visited, which help us keep the platform secure and improve performance.

2. How we use information

• Create and manage your student or teacher account.
• Grant access to the batches, chapters, tests and live classes you are enrolled in.
• Track your learning progress and show results to you and your assigned mentors.
• Process fee payments and issue receipts.
• Send service-related alerts, class reminders, and support responses.
• Improve the platform, fix issues, and prevent misuse or unauthorised access.

3. Sharing with others

We do not sell personal information. We only share it with the people and services needed to run the platform:

• Teachers and mentors: to see your name, academic profile and progress in batches they manage.
• Payment providers: to process fees securely.
• Cloud and hosting providers: to store data, stream videos, and deliver notifications.
• Legal authorities: if required by law, court order, or to protect safety and rights.

4. Cookies and analytics

We use cookies and similar technologies to keep you signed in, remember your preferences, and understand how the platform is used. Some analytics may be processed by third-party services. You can control cookies through your browser settings, although disabling them may limit certain features.

5. Data retention

We keep your account and learning data for as long as your account is active or as needed to provide the service. If you close your account, we will delete or anonymise your data within a reasonable time, unless a legal requirement requires us to keep it longer. Test scores and transaction records may be retained for verification and accounting purposes.

We use industry-standard measures such as encryption in transit, access controls, and secure authentication to protect your information. No online service is completely risk-free, and we encourage you to use a strong password and keep your login details private.

7. Children's privacy

EduSankalp is designed for students preparing for senior-secondary and undergraduate entrance exams. We do not knowingly collect information from children below the age at which they can consent to online services in their jurisdiction. If you believe a child has provided us with personal data without appropriate consent, please contact us and we will remove it.

8. Your choices

You can update your profile, change your password, or request account deletion by contacting our support team. You may also opt out of non-essential communications. Service-related messages, such as class reminders or payment receipts, cannot be disabled because they are required to run the platform.

9. Third-party links

The platform may contain links to third-party websites, payment pages, or video hosts. We are not responsible for the privacy practices of those sites and encourage you to read their policies before submitting information.

10. Changes to this policy

We may update this policy as the platform evolves. We will post the revised version on this page with a new "last updated" date. Continued use of the platform after changes means you accept the updated policy.
